Make parents pay district’s legal fees

In regard to the editors of The Kodak: I suggest that if they want a paper that they both have absolute control over, they should start their own. They can pay for it, or let their parents do that.
The paper is provided by the school, it is paid for by taxpayer dollars, my dollars.
Because of their legal action, the district must now take needed funds for education to defend its right to have some control on what is printed in the school paper, not the editors’ paper.
We don’t have computers in our schools for kids to use, we have overcrowded class rooms. Did they or their parents think about the repercussions of their actions? If they lose in court, their parents should make restitiution for the legal expenses of the school system. Maybe we can make some progress instead of feeding some egos.
