LAKE STEVENS – The Lake Stevens Vikings secured their 17th straight league championship in wrestling with a victory over Western Conference North opponent Monroe 50-20 Thursday night at Lake Stevens High School.
“It takes a sense of pride to keep the streak going and a lot of hard work to make it happen,” Vikings coach Brent Barnes said. “It is a tribute to our coaching staff and without assistant Dean Wedth (31 years of service) it wouldn’t be possible.”
