Thanks to county for prompt action on signs

Recently we sent a letter to Street Smarts regarding the dangerous intersection at Lakewood Road and Marine Drive in the Warm Beach area where many drivers assume the two-way stop is a four-way stop. We inquired about the possibility of signs reminding motorists that Marine Drive traffic does not stop for the intersection.
Lukas Velush forwarded our question to Greg Nickson, Snohomish County Traffic Control officer, who investigated the situation. His prompt action resulted in signs that say “Cross Traffic Does Not Stop” placed on the two stop signs. Mr. Nickson also placed warning signs close to the intersection.
We want to take this opportunity to thank Lukas of Street Smarts and Greg of traffic control for making this a safer intersection!
