CBS wrong to talk to Iranian president

Published 9:00 pm Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Once again, CBS News shows its liberal, left-leaning journalism by interviewing a certifiable lunatic. CBS News has been guilty in the past of sensationalizing and slanting the news. Most recently, the disgraceful tantrums of Dan Rather attempting to demean President Bush come to mind. Not to be out-done, the aging CBS correspondent Mike Wallace reached the zenith of his never-ending career by interviewing Iranian President Mahmoud Ah..MAD..inejad on “60 Minutes.” Maybe CBS and “60 Minutes” are hard up looking for issues they can relate to, to be aired on their Al-Jazeera like network. I for one see no redeeming value in conducting an interview with a mad man bent on the annihilation of other human beings. Could be that I’m just old-fashioned.

The American public would have been better served if Mr. Wallace had interviewd one of our “Defenders of Freedom” serving in the military and currently in harm’s way.
