Army Pvt. Rocky Renecker has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Renecker earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Rocky and Leslie Renecker of Marysville.

Army Pvt. Kevin P. Trinh has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Tim Trinh of Lynnwood. Trinh is a 2006 graduate of Shoreline High School.

Army Spc. Kevin J. Bumgarner, recently based at Fort Bragg, N.C., is now in Kuwait and headed for service in Iraq. The 2002 Lakewood High School graduate is the son of Cordelia and Dennis Packard of Arlington.

Army Pfc. Elisabeth Bauman recently was deployed with 550 soldiers from Fort Lewis to fight the Tripod fire in Eastern Washington. She graduated from Cascade High School in 2002 and is the daughter of Patricia Bauman of Everett.
