Dr. Robert Palmer, Dr. Dagmar Rehse, Dr. Seema Shah, Dr. Michelle Smoluch and Dr. Peter Sutcliffe have joined the staff of physicians at The Everett Clinic. Palmer specializes in gastroenterology at the Gunderson Building. Rehse specializes in hand and microvascular surgery at the Everett campus. Shah works in gynecology and obstetrics at the Pavilion. Smoluch practices internal medicine at the Mill Creek office. Sutcliffe specializes in cardiology at the Everett campus.
Larry Fransson of Everett has been selected to serve on the national dealer advisory board for Kubota Tractor Corp. He was elected by fellow dealers affiliated with the corporation’s western division. Fransson owns and operates Sound Tractor in Everett.

Lanny Michael has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Intermec, Inc. Michael, a 23-year veteran with Airborne Express/DHL, served in numerous positions during his tenure there, including controller, treasurer, senior vice president of finance and vice president and chief financial officer. Intermec develops, technologies that identify, track and manage supply chain assets.
Richard Hertzog of Lynnwood was honored recently with a national award of excellence by the CarlsonWagonlit travel company for his business growth and overall customer service. Hertzog was one of 20 of the company’s franchise owners nationwide to win the award.

Progressive Insurance has opened a Lynnwood office for “concierge-level” claims service, designed to reduce the time consumers spend dealing with car insurance claims. the office eliminates the need to go back and forth between a body shop and the insurance company. Customers arrive at 13906 Highway 99, drop off their cars, spend 15 minutes with a claims representative and pick up the car when it’s ready.

Sustainable Development Task Force of Snohomish County has scheduled a tour of residential landscaping beginning at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on 71st Drive NW off Village Road in Stanwood. The public and private partnership of the task force seeks to promote construction alternatives. The tour will look at landscapes that incorporate native plants and other native features.
Good deeds
Eaton Corp. recently donated $7,500 to the American Cancer Society in Everett. The funds will be used to support community education and prevention programs. After the death of a co-worker, employees at the Everett facility of Eaton chose cancer research and prevention as their community involvement focus and participated in the Relay for Life. The Everett facility employs about 35 people who design and manufacture photoelectric and inductive proximity sensors as well as mechanical limit switches.
