Injections not worth risks, study says

Human growth hormone injections do not increase lifespan or fitness, and they have many potential adverse effects, including joint swelling and pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and a tendency toward diabetes, Stanford University researchers say in a report being published today.
Compiling results from 31 studies, researchers concluded there was no rationale for the elderly to use the treatment.
