Once scenic stretch of I-5 now ugly

We are truly blessed to live in a state as beautiful as Washington, full of lush green valleys, dense evergreen forests, snow-covered mountains and salmon-filled rivers. Why, we even have some of the most beautiful vineyards on the other side of the Cascade Range. Lifestyle and recreation in Washington is only as limited as your imagination.

I live in Snohomish and commute to Mount Vernon every day for work. There is a stretch of highway along I-5 where there are no buildings and little sign of civilization for miles. This was a beautiful, picturesque drive. Until now. Someone is erecting, at exit 210, an approximately 100-foot-tall, illuminated casino sign; forever changing the landscape for all of us. Looks to me like maybe we all fell asleep on our watch. Oh, well. Maybe I am the only one this bothers, but I doubt it.
