50 years ago (1957)
Members of Group I, Everett general Hospital Children’s Foundation, were meeting with Myrtis Schuchart tomorrow on board the “Nelsie.” The boat would leave at 10:30 a.m. and return in the evening.
The Everett Multiple Listing Service was to hold its monthly salesmen-broker breakfast at the Elks Home. Special guest and featured speaker for the morning program was Art Anderson, president of Snohomish county Title Insurance Co., who would address the group on preparation of legal instruments and legal aspects of the real estate industry. In charge of the program was Lee Wicklund of Wicklund Realty.
25 years ago (1982)
The folks at Fire District 1 had a special thanks to Jorrene Erickson of the Everett American Red Cross chapter for her help setting up the district’s free first-aid and resuscitation course.
The thrill was never the same for Brent Wilson, 22, when he would spring off a water-ski jump at 60 mph and fly over 150 feet. Wilson, who lived on Lake Stevens, was one of three water-ski jumpers in the state to qualify for the National Water Ski Championships.
