Drum Corps International comes to Everett at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Mariner High School, 200 120th St. SW. Organized by Northwest Youth Music Association, see corps from as far away as New Jersey.

Dutton will serve Everett schools
The Everett Public Schools Foundation has selected Kristie Dutton as the foundation’s new executive director. She is a loan office at Frontier Bank’s Monroe office and begins her new job Aug. 13.
Dutton has been on the Everett School Board since 1999 and has served on the board of directors for Camp Fire Boys and Girls Club.
She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in business administration. She has worked in banking and lending with Pioneer Bank and Frontier Bank and has marketing experience with the Seattle Sounders. She and her husband, Mike, have three daughters, who are all graduates of Everett High School.
Learn secrets of fair winners
A seminar on how to enter and win at the state fair is set for 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Saturday at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE.
The free event offers tips on how to win a blue ribbon in baking and other competitions at the Evergreen State Fair.
No pre-registration is required, and the event is open to people of all ages and skill levels.
