50 years ago (1957)
Members of the Intercity Community Club and the Ladies Auxiliary and their families were to hold their annual picnic at Forest Park. If it rained, it would be held in the Intercity Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wangerin were in charge of the contests and games.
25 years ago (1982)
Janet Oberg of Everett was initiated into Epsilon chapter of Rho Chi Society, a scholastic honorary, in the College of Pharmacy at Washington State University. Another student, Pattie Bower of Coupeville, was named to the dean’s honor list for spring semester at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles.
The people of Arlington were urged to come and cheer for Darren Peterson, a linebacker and one of seven players from the county on the West Team.
