This week’s featured home is a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath two-story on an 8.33-acre lot near Arlington.

Lyptus hardwood flooring with maple inlays covers the foyer and extends through much of the main floor. A great-room on this level is highlighted by a propane fireplace with cultured stone trim and rough-hewn wood mantel. The fireplace is flanked by built-in bookcases with a plasma television centered overhead. The room is open to the second level and has a French door accessing a covered deck that is plumbed for a gas barbecue.

Another French door opens to a den or home office with wainscoting, chair railing, a 9-foot ceiling and Craftsman-style millwork.

The center-island kitchen has cherry paneled cabinets with crown molding, granite slab countertops with ceramic tile backsplash, and a five-burner gas cooktop.

An informal dining area is steps away and has a French door accessing a second covered deck that overlooks a private back yard with mature evergreens.

The main living level is completed with a formal dining room, butler’s pantry, and a half bathroom with Venetian plaster walls, hardwood flooring, and an old-world cabinet with above-counter marble sink basin.

A switchback staircase ascends to the upper level, where an extra-wide skybridge overlooks both the foyer and great-room below.

Carriage house-style doors open to an expansive master bedroom with a corner gas fireplace. The master bathroom has a two-person walk-in shower with floor-to-ceiling ceramic tile, rain showerhead and granite slab sit-down bench. Other features include a soaker tub encased in a ceramic tile surround with privacy glass window, two separate single vanities, and a walk-in wardrobe closet.

Completing the second level are a bonus room, laundry room, and two more large bedrooms served by a full bathroom.

The bonus room has a Venetian plaster ceiling with crown molding, and the bathroom includes a shower/tub combination with ceramic tile surround.
