This week’s featured home is a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath two-story on a large corner lot in the Roosevelt Ridge subdivision near Monroe. It includes a three-car garage, den and bonus room.
The house is served by a septic system, public water, natural gas furnace and hot water tanks, built-in security and central vacuum systems, and a front yard sprinkler system.
The foyer has cherry-stained oak flooring that extends throughout much of the main floor. The den or home office is positioned to the right, and a great-room combining formal living and dining rooms to the left.
French doors open to the den, which has a nine-foot ceiling with crown molding, and three angled walls with wood-wrapped vertical windows.
Great-room features include chair railing, wainscoting and shadowbox detail, a vaulted ceiling, upper- and lower-level windows, radius corners and frieze carpeting.
The kitchen is highlighted by granite tile countertops with glass inlays, tiled backsplash that ascends to the alder paneled cabinets with crown molding, indirect drop-down and recessed lighting, stainless steel appliances, and a pantry closet.
Other main floor rooms include an informal dining nook, family room, powder room and utility room. A sliding glass door opens from the nook to a covered porch overlooking the back yard. The family room has a natural gas log-burning fireplace trimmed with floor-to-ceiling cultured stone enhanced with Pennsylvania bluestone hearth and mantel. Two exposed beams add to the room’s old-world flair.
The powder room includes a rustic, slate countertop, and the utility room has built-in overhead cabinets and a laundry tub.
An L-shaped staircase ascends to the second level, which consists of a master suite, two bedrooms, a full bathroom and the bonus room. The master suite has a walk-in closet with organizer system, and a five-piece bathroom with tile flooring, jetted tub beneath privacy windows, and a freestanding shower with ceramic tile surround.
