Commission race was change of pace

The clean, ethical campaign for Everett port commissioner was a breath of fresh air rarely found in the political world.

Commissioner Don Hopkins’ gracious acceptance of the voters’ choice and warm welcome to his opponent, Michael Hoffmann, the winner, makes Hopkins a winner also. Let us hope that other aspiring politicians will profit by his legacy.
