Grateful to citizens for letting me serve

Published 11:37 am Friday, November 16, 2007

I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the port district residents and my supporters for allowing me to serve as your representative at the Port of Everett these last 18 years.

Words can’t express what a tremendous honor and experience this has been for me and my family. With that said, I do believe I am leaving the port in very good hands. I have the utmost respect for Michael Hoffmann, and I truly believe that change is good for an organization. Commissioners Connie Niva and Phil Bannan will be a great resource for Michael as he is brought up to speed on port laws, activities and issues.

Michael ran a really clean campaign, and I urge everyone to support him when he takes office this January. He will bring a new perspective and outlook to the commission, and that can only benefit our stakeholders. The Port of Everett is very active right now, and I will look forward to continuing to monitor its progress.

Thank you again for letting me serve you over the last 18 years.
