Federal Way frosh bump Oak Harbor

OAK HARBOR — The Federal Way Eagles have just nine players on their roster. Saturday night, only eight of those nine played and, of those eight, only four scored. But that was enough to overcome host Oak Harbor, 32-30 in a non-league holiday tournament contest

Brittany Barrington and Talia Walton — both freshmen — combined for 26 of the Eagles’ 32 points. Barrington’s 14 points led all scorers while Walton had 12.

Mietra Smollack led the Wildcats with 12.

The Eagles’ victory secured the Gold Division championship in the Oak Harbor tournament.
