Some lonely hearts to keep in mind

It’s not all love and kisses. Some people aren’t having the happiest Valentine’s Day:

Microsoft, which is seeing its desires for Yahoo go unrequited. Proving that the business world is like junior high school, Yahoo is walking around, holding hands with News Corp.

Microsoft says it wants to merge with Yahoo “by whatever means necessary.” In the dating world, that’s what you call a stalker.

Victims of the “Sweetheart Swindle,” in which con artists use dating Web sites to attract lonely people, then persuade them to send money.

You may think it’s weird to fall in love when you’ve never met, but when your “Second Life” avatars have gone all the way, it’s pretty much like the real thing — except in the pretend world you probably look better naked.

Roger Clemens, who spent Wednesday being raked over the coals by a congressional committee over his purported use of steroids.

Clemens was hit so hard, it was reminiscent of his pitching in the mid-1990s, before he discovered lightning (or something) in a bottle and rejuvenated his career.

Sadly for him, steroids are off-limits, so there’s no potion that will make fans love him anymore.
