Today in Tomorrowland

A new tomorrow: Disneyland is planning an addition to Tomorrowland: an updated “House of the Future” full of gadgets that will make our lives easier someday.
The house will have countertops that tell you what to eat and closets that tell you what to wear. Just think how heavenly it’ll be to live like you have your Mom in your closet, with a computer-generated voice saying, “You’re not going out in THAT, are you?”
In other futuristic news:
A shirt can power your iPod: Scientists have developed a way to generate electricity from a person’s movements.
Before you go thinking that dancing could solve our energy problems, there’s one hitch: The fabric isn’t waterproof. That kind of rules out sweating to the oldies, unless you only want to do it once.
The talking car is back: The coolest TV show of the ’80s, “Knight Rider,” returns in a remake tonight.
The original was a sheer stroke of genius, the first show to feature a talking, crime-fighting car and awesome pop music. It was also the first show to prove David Hasselhoff could be out-acted by a Trans Am.
