Always look on the bright side of life: Taking our cue from President Bush and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, who insist the national economy is a glass half full, The Buzz is going to look on the bright side of this morning’s news.
The bad news: Gas prices are nearing record highs in Washington state and it isn’t even spring.
The good news: When daylight-saving time returns March 9 you won’t be walking home from work in the dark.
The bad news: Increases in the cost of flour and cheese mean pizza restaurants are having to raise their prices for your pepperoni pie.
The good news: Domino’s has pledged to keep its prices low by just spreading tomato sauce directly on the cardboard box.
The bad news: Canada is implying it could hold up its oil imports to the U.S. if the next U.S. president ignores NAFTA provisions to force renegotiations.
The good news: None of the presidential candidates have said they wouldn’t invade our oil- and Tim Horton’s-rich neighbor to the north and make it the 51st state.
