Snohomish girls top Lake Stevens 49-38

TACOMA — In a battle of Western Conference North Division rivals, Snohomish came out on top against Lake Stevens 49-38 Friday in a loser-out consolation game at the Class 4A state girls basketball tournament at the Tacoma Dome.

Guard Karley Lampman scored a game-high 15 points for Snohomish, which pulled away in the second quarter and led by 20 points entering the fourth quarter. Katie Benson and Marjorie Heard scored 11 points apiece for Snohomish.

Snohomish plays the Ballard/Kentwood winner 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the fourth/seventh-place game.

Lake Stevens ended its season with a record of 22-4. Alona Personius’ 14 points led the Vikings.
