A fine line between fame and infamy

One person’s career-ender is another’s career-maker. The alleged call girl at the center of the Eliot Spitzer scandal is an aspiring singer, and some radio stations have been playing her songs now that she’s gained notoriety.

The songs are Britney Spears-style pop tunes, but if they don’t catch on, at least we know she has other talents to fall back on.

Meanwhile, Penthouse and Hustler have approached her about a photo shoot. Somehow they got the crazy idea that she’d take her clothes off for money.

Good news for students who want to learn to swish and spit. Central Washington University in Ellensburg is planning to offer a major in wine studies.

The prerequisites shouldn’t be a problem. Ninety percent of students at the college were already studying beer in their spare time.

And a Wenatchee man will spend 10 months in jail for firing a shotgun at a Ron Paul presidential campaign sign.

The sentence would’ve been harsher, but the sign says it’s against gun control.
