Ridin’ along in my automobile

Is this the car key or the TV remote? AAA and researchers have compiled a list of vehicle features seniors should consider to increase their comfort and safety while driving. These features include six-way adjustable power seats, keyless ignition and power mirrors.
Not on the list: The second mortgage you’ll need to finance your cushy car and the computer science degree required to operate it.
The Oreo made me do it: A man charged with speeding told a Connecticut state trooper he lost control of his car because he was trying to retrieve an Oreo he’d dropped in a cup of milk, police say.
Because this is America, we predict two things will happen as a result of this case: The man will sue the maker of Oreos because the cookie was too slippery, and the state’s lawmakers will bar “dunking and driving” without a hands-free device.
Only tenuously related to cars: A woman made a quick getaway from a spa in Reno, Nev., without paying her bill for $1,300 worth of Botox treatments and other services. The incident was one of several to occur recently in Reno and other cities. No suspects have been arrested — probably because no one can recognize them.
