Our featured home this week is a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath contemporary rambler in the Aspen subdivision near Marysville. It was built in 2004 and is on a one-acre lot.

A leaded-glass double door at the front entry opens to a foyer with oak flooring. To the immediate right is a bedroom, den or home office with a wood double door, pale neutral sculpted carpeting, a standard closet and a window facing the street.

Nearby is a half bathroom with oak flooring and an oak single vanity topped with granite tile.

To the immediate left is a formal living room and dining room combination with off-white plush carpeting. The living room and dining room are visually separated by architectural columns.

Other features include wainscoting, shadow boxing, a coffered ceiling with indirect lighting in the dining area, and picture windows on two sides in the living room, one with a peek-a-boo Cascade Mountain view.

A great-room at the back of the house includes the kitchen, informal dining area and family room.

Kitchen highlights are oak flooring, oak cabinets, granite tile countertops, a long angled island with breakfast bar, recessed lighting, stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher, white double oven and microwave, a pantry, and a view window above the sink.

The adjacent informal dining area has oak flooring and a sliding glass door accessing a deck and the back yard.

Features of the family room include flecked cut-pile carpeting, a vaulted cathedral ceiling with three skylights, an extra-large picture window, another sliding glass door accessing the deck, and a gas fireplace with faux river rock surround and tile hearth. The fireplace includes a remote-control unit.

A hall off the foyer leads to the owners’ suite, two more bedrooms, a full bathroom and a utility room.

The suite has a double door entry, off-white plush carpeting, vaulted cathedral ceiling, and a sliding glass door accessing the deck.

Highlights of the suite’s five-piece bathroom are tile flooring, an elongated double vanity topped with tile, a walk-in closet, corner jetted tub encased in tile beneath a window with privacy glass, and an oversized shower with tile surround.

The full bathroom is finished with tile flooring, an elongated single vanity topped with tile, a skylight and a shower-tub combination with faux white tile fiberglass surround.

The home has a generator, gas heat with heat pump, a security system and a three-car garage.
