Big Brown, the horse named for UPS, delivered easily in the Preakness Stakes.
Now he’ll go to New York for the Belmont, where he’ll be a big favorite to sweep the Triple Crown. But first, since UPS is shipping him, he’ll have to languish in a Louisiana warehouse for two weeks.
“Iron Man” is looking less like science fiction and more like reality. A robotics firm is developing a full body suit that detects people’s muscle movements and makes them 20 times stronger.
They’ve been developing it for the military, but just think of the practical applications: baseball players literally hitting the ball a mile; football players actually crushing one another; people able to open pickle jars without cursing and banging them on the counter.
Unfortunately, the battery only lasts 30 minutes, so if you want to find out if every muscle is stronger, you’ll have to move fast.
In other technology news, Google is going to blur the faces of people in snapshots used for its Internet map program.
It seems some people were pictured outside places where they didn’t want to be seen, such as strip joints, adult video stores and Taco Bell.
