LSU coming in 2009

Washington and Louisiana State have reached an agreement for a home-and-away football series in 2009 and 2012. The Tigers will come to Seattle for the 2009 season opener on Sept. 5, and Washington will head to Baton Rouge for a game on Sept. 29, 2012.

The only other meeting between the two schools was a 40-14 LSU win in Baton Rouge in 2003.

UW president Mark Emmert and acting AD Scott Woodward both worked at LSU before coming to Washington, which likely helped make this series happen.
