Going to the chapel and we’re going to get presents

If you’re like The Buzz, you enjoy a good story about people behaving badly. Columnist Michelle Singletary has several examples to discuss, all centered on weddings. One couple convinced their wedding guests to pony up to attend an expensive resort wedding but didn’t let on that their own room would be comped if they brought in enough business, bringing new meaning to the phrase: “The honor of your presence is gift enough.”
The Unsinkable Nisqually Brown: Despite a decision to mothball the state ferry system’s fleet of 80-year-old Steel Electrics, some insist they be returned to service. A slightly less expensive proposal would be to raise the Titanic, paint it green and white and put it on the Keystone-Port Townsend run.
What a piece of work: Those sprucing up William Shakespeare’s grave are heeding his epitaph: “Blest be the man that spares these stones. And curst be he that moves my bones.” Had the Bard known, he might have been more concerned about what high school drama classes would do to “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
