Parking, made easy (or at least rage-free)

Find a place to park: Thanks to video cameras and a bit of technology, parking will soon be easier at Sea-Tac airport. The system tracks spaces in an effort to limit parking rage.

That’s good. The airport is already full of lost-baggage rage, fuel-surcharge rage and slow-security rage.

One problem, however, while the technology may reduce conflicts in the parking lot, there’s no sign it will help at the pay station when drivers find out the parking costs as much as a flight to Dallas.

Scientists, as they are wont to do, are asking questions. Presently, they’re wondering why the sun isn’t producing as many solar flares as it should be. Really, though, this isn’t a hard question to answer. Have you seen the price of fuel lately? Apollo is just being a bit more conservative with his chariot.

The author of “The Pornography of Power” is on the road, talking about his book on the Sept. 11 attacks. Sen. Larry Craig and Eliot Spitzer won’t be going to any of the talks. They’re still pouting because that’s what they wanted to call their books.
