Pull out your rose-colored glasses

According to the latest economic figures, U.S. consumers are feeling a lot like Eeyore. Here at the Buzz, however, we’ve managed to put our rose-colored glasses back together, thanks to half a roll of masking tape. So here are a few things to help cheer you up:

Millionaires. The number of people with at least $1 million in assets passed 10 million last year, a report says.

You may not be one of them, but now you’re more likely to meet one who’d like to take you out to a nice dinner.

The horoscope. If today’s your birthday, it says, “A proposal will change your life and your direction.”

For maximum optimism, assume the proposal will be for marriage and come from one of the millions of millionaires.

A refreshing beverage. A handy guide lists the temperatures at which to serve drinks such as coffee, wine and beer for maximum flavor.

More importantly, you’ll finally be able to come home from a hard day of work and knock back a cold one without getting brain freeze.

The Mariners. No, really. They won their second game in a row Tuesday, smashing the Mets to smithereens, 11-0. Maybe this is a sign that the M’s have finally hired the right person to turn their season around — a team optometrist.
