Savannah news coming? And a few more updates

Tyrone Willingham was asked about the status of E.J. Savannah during today’s Pac-10 coaches conference call, and indicated that some news could be coming today.
Savannah, a junior linebacker who was the team’s leading tackler last year with 111, has been out so far this season while battling academic problems and other unspecified issues.
“There are some developments taking place that maybe by the end of the day I might be able to give you a little bit more precise information on that,” Willingham said.
Obvsiously if and when we get that information I’ll pass it along.
Willingham also talked about injuried tailback Chris Polk, who dislocated his shoulder Saturday. He said Polk’s MRI is being evaluated, and that the tailback is doubtful for this week, and could be out long-term.
Asked if that meant Polk’s injurying could be season-ending, Willingham said, “Yes, could be.”
A few reporters also talked to kicker Ryan Perkins about the blocked 35-yard PAT at the end of the BYU game.
Perkins said he felt like he hit the ball fine, and that the kick was just like any of the others (all PATs) that he hit that day.
“I’ve seen a couple of side view angles of it and the ball was carrying up pretty good … about five or six feet off the ground at the three-yard mark and it was still climbing,” he said.
Perkins said a camera angle from above the play showed that the ball was blocked about three yards away from him, which would mean BYU’s Jan Jorgensen made it four yards past the line of scrimmage before he blocked it.
