Today we have news of things that just don’t seem to go together.
New Kids on the Block and new tour. No, really, it’s true. Those two things have actually been put together. The heartthrob quintet is on the road and the fans are loving it. The only difference with this tour is that women are throwing their bras up on stage this time. Last time, the fans weren’t old enough to be wearing those.
Verdi with synthesizers and Mozart with electric guitars. East Village Opera will perform in Edmonds. The group combines rock and opera. Finally, musicians have discovered something everyone can love. Or something everyone can hate, depending whether you tend toward optimism or cynicism.
The Mariners and good news. No, the M’s didn’t win, but they did manage to earn their 100th loss. No problem. At this point each loss is good. The M’s bandwagon would like to see a nice, shiny, early draft pick.
