Monday morning notes

Depth charts are out today, and not a lot of major changes.
No, Jake Locker is not listed on the depth chart at safety, though I still wouldn’t be surprised to see him there eventually. And speaking of Locker, he is seeing a hand specialist today, so hopefully we’ll have more news on him this afternoon, though he won’t be meeting with the media like he usually does on Monday.
Other than the obvious change at quarterback, there are no major changes to the depth chart on offense. Walk-on Taylor Bean is listed as Ronnie Fouch’s backup at quarterback, and the third string QB is now true freshman Luther Leonard.
It’s worth noting that David Freeman, who left the game with an ankle injury, and D’Andre Goodwin, who had a rib injury, are both listed as starters. This doesn’t mean they’ll defitely be ready to play, but it’s a good sign that they haven’t been ruled out.
And speaking of injuries, Donald Butler, who left Saturday’s game with a concussion, is listed as the starting middle linebacker. Concussions are always tricky, so I’m sure his status is still up in the air, but again, it looks like he at least hasn’t been ruled out already for next week.
Otherwise the defense looks the same as last week.
