Everett has option to run Jetty Island ferry every day

EVERETT — The Everett City Council on Wednesday voted 7-0 on a $101,125 contract with Argosy Cruises of Seattle to operate passenger ferry service to Jetty Island in 2009.

The contract includes an option to add a seventh day of free ferry service and to extend the season from July 1 through Labor Day. The 15 extra days of service, included in the contract, adds an extra $14,000.
