Man airlifted to hospital after 3-car collision

LAKE STEVENS — A three-car collision on Highway 204 resulted in a one-hour delay on U.S. 2 and a man’s being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
According to a Washington State patrol spokesman, the accident occurred at 5:15 p.m. when a car was traveling erratically on westbound 204. According to witness statements, the driver drove along the shoulder, weaving in and out of traffic, and then made a U-turn. The car was hit by a van traveling eastbound, and the driver of the car was thrown from his vehicle.
The condition of the driver was not available.
The driver of the van sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. The third vehicle involved in the accident sustained only minor damage and the driver was uninjured.
