25 minutes to kickoff and there’s already an injury

Not that the Huskies need any more bad news, but starting defensive tackle Senio Kelemete somehow hurt himself in pregame warmups. I didn’t see what happened, but he was down in the west end zone and had to be helped off the field where he was put on a cart and taken to the locker room. Johnie Kirton will likely start in his place assuming Kelemete doesn’t come back. Kirton also started last week when Kelemete was one of several Huskies to miss practice with a virus.

UPDATE—A school spokesman just said that Kelemete has a left knee injury, and that he is questionable to play in the game.

Otherwise it’s another beautiful game day here (and I know I mentioned that last week before the game too, but hey, you’ve got to appreciate every sunny day here this late in the year). From walking around getting a feel for the pregame atmosphere, I’m guessing it’ll be a pretty good and lively crowd, and there will be plenty of Notre Dame fans here.
