UCLA picked to win Pac-10, Huskies picked fifth

Pac-10 media day is going on down in LA (you can watch here), which among other things means that the results of the preseason media poll is out.

Here are the results with first place votes in parentheses:

1. UCLA (37) 379

2. Arizona State (1) 325

3. USC 292

4. Arizona 241

5. Washington 217

6. Washington State 188

7. Oregon 147

8. California 143

9. Stanford 115

10. Oregon State 40

For those who are interested, that’s pretty much how I voted except I had Washington fourth and Arizona fifth, the reason being that I voted after the news that Lute Olson was leaving, and figured that might set the Wildcats back a bit. I also switched Cal and Stanford at 8th and 9th.
