Appleby to Idaho D-League team

Former Husky and Stanwood High School standout Ryan Appleby is off to Boise to play in the NBA Development League. The draft is today, but each team is allowed one regional pick prior to the draft, and the Stampede used that pick on Appleby.
Appleby has been working out in the area, sometimes with the Huskies in the offseason, and was weighing his options between playing in the D-League or Europe. The Stampede open their season in Boise against Anaheim on Nov. 29.
