Ceremonies planned for Veterans Day

Here are local events planned for Veterans Day:
Arlington: A Veterans Day parade is planned at 11 a.m. Tuesday along Olympic Avenue in Arlington by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
All veterans are invited to march.
Lunch is planned for 1 p.m. at the American Legion, 115 N. Olympic Ave., Arlington.
Arlington: Several Arlington schools are hosting Veterans Day events. Events include songs, guest speakers and slide shows. For a complete list of events, go to the Arlington School District’s Web site: www.asd.wednet.edu.
Everett: Everett Elks Lodge No. 479 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2100 plan a veterans dinner at 5:30 this evening at the VFW Hall, 2711 Oakes Ave., Everett.
The menu includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert. Dinner is free for veterans; $8 for others. Reservations were due Friday.

Everett: Enjoy free admission for veterans from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Flying Heritage Collection, 3407 109th St. SW in Everett; free parking outside hangar; admission $12, $10 seniors, $8 ages 6 to 15, free for ages 5 and under, $10 per person for groups of 15 or more; free for veterans; 206-342-4242, 877-342-3404, www.flyingheritage.com.
Everett: A Veteran’s Day ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eternal Flame at the Snohomish County Courthouse, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
Lake Stevens: Lake Stevens High School gym, 2908 113th Ave NE. A ceremony is planned for 7:15 a.m. today, with an assembly following at 8:30 a.m. All veterans are invited.
Sultan: A Veterans Day dinner is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday at the Sky Valley Eagles, 1112 E. Main St., Sultan. Free turkey will be served until the food is gone.
