Sing hallelujah: On Sunday, the Everett Symphony Orchestra is inviting you to ring in the holidays as stars of the “Messiah Sing-Along” concert.
This special concert has you, the audience, singing many hallelujahs as the Everett Symphony performs Handel’s iconic Christmas classic. The music resonates during this local holiday celebration as the tradition continues in its ninth year.
“The hallelujah chorus. You hear it everywhere you go and now you have a good chance to be a participant,” said Everett Symphony violin player Karen Greenwalt, adding that the audience will have the music to follow along with the orchestra.
The concert is at 3 p.m. Sundayat First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students. Call the Everett Symphony at 425-258-1605. Tickets are also available at the door.
Symphony members visit with the audience and share refreshments following the concert. “Messiah Sing-Along” is a fundraiser for the Everett Symphony and proceeds help pay for travel costs when the musicians go on the road for concerts.
