EVERETT — Fire destroyed a vacant house early Tuesday morning in Everett.
Crews were called just after 3 a.m. to the 1900 block of Highland Avenue, Everett Fire Battalion Chief Roger Westlund said.
Flames had engulfed the small house when firefighters arrived, he said. It took crews about 40 minutes to knock down the blaze in “brutal conditions.”
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
