@1. a BODY STYLES: EVERETT — Excessive speed may have been a factor in a Tuesday night crash that sent two people to a hospital.
The driver of a Volkswagen Beetle was traveling south on I-5 near 41st Street around 8 p.m., when she apparently lost control and struck a Dodge Caravan, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Both vehicles left the road and crashed into the median.
The Volkswagen driver, an Everett woman, 22, wasn’t hurt. The driver of the Dodge, a 46-year-old Granite Falls woman, and her passenger, a Granite Falls man, 43, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers believe the Beetle lost control because of excessive speed.
