Key wrestling clashes upcoming this week

A big-time Western Conference North Division dual meet is set for Friday night in Snohomish. Snohomish, ranked No. 3 in Class 4A by Washington Wrestling Report, plays host to top-ranked Lake Stevens, the two-time defending state champ. But before that Snohomish has a challenging league meet Wednesday against Everett, ranked fifth in 3A. Snohomish wraps up a busy week Saturday by hosting the annual Panther Classic, which will include local teams Cascade, Glacier Peak and Kamiak.
Other area squads listed in the latest Washington Wrestling Report rankings are: Arlington (No. 13, 4A), Stanwood (No. 16, 4A), Archbishop Murphy (No. 12, 2A), Sultan (No. 17, 2A), Darrington (No. 6, 2B), Tulalip Heritage (No. 15, 2B), Lake Stevens girls (No. 13) and Oak Harbor girls (No. 19).
