Locker throwing, progressing well, Sarkisian says

After today’s press conference, Steve Sarkisian stuck around to field a few more questions, and I asked him about the recovery of QB Jake Locker. Sarkisian said the recovery is going well and that there haven’t been any setbacks, but he admitted that he hasn’t got to spend as much time as he would have liked with his new quarterback so far, though that will change soon.

“Well he’s throwing, so that’s always good when the quarterback’s throwing it,” he said. “He’s doing a great job. Unfortunately in all of this hiring and recruiting and everything, we haven’t spent as much time as we both would have liked to so far with each other, but school just started, he’s getting his feet on the ground here, he’s getting his first workout in today. Next week’s going to be a big week for us when I’m in the office all day kind of getting the foundation of the philosophy of what we do, how we do, why we do it, then starting to cut up some throwing and all of the things that lead up to spring football.”
