Most employees grateful for jobs

Regarding the Tuesday letter, “Lay off strikers, hire contractors”: It is apparent to me that the writer works for one of Boeing’s contractors and might be worried about a layoff. Although there are a percentage of bad workers in every company, the majority of Boeing workers are loyal and hard-working. I know in the 21 years I have been here, I owe everything I have to my company. And as far as the writer’s stated wish to work for Boeing, he need only apply, and then we will see what his opinion is about a union job.
