Stage talk
Share at Playhouse
Whidbey Playhouse invites the community to attend its annual Play Day on Jan. 24, beginning with a finger food feast at 5 p.m. Cost is $5.
Bring a plate of finger food to share and get one free ticket per family. RSVP to office@whidbeyplayhouse.com or call 360-679-2237.
At 6 p.m., the party moves upstairs to the theater for samples of 12 different plays and musicals presented for the votes of Whidbey Playhouse members and for the enjoyment of all.
Only playhouse members can vote for their favorite in hopes of seeing it next year on stage. However, you need not be a member to come and participate in the fun.
Whidbey Playhouse is at 730 SE Midway Blvd., Oak Harbor.
STG changes site
Seattle Theatre Group launches STGpresents.org, a new Web site featuring all STG engagements, including shows at Seattle’s Paramount and Moore theaters.
STGpresents.org features new interactive properties right from the home page: promotional offers, links for easy access to eNews, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter accounts as well as a new blog with news and insight from backstage.
The STGpresents.org launch coincides with the ticketing transfer of the majority of STG’s engagements selling on Ticketmaster to Tickets.com.
Because STG partners with other presenters who have existing ticketing contracts, some engagements will continue to be sold through those ticketing systems. All tickets, regardless of ticketing vendor, are accessible or available for purchase via stgpresents.org, which contains the Web sites for The Paramount and The Moore theaters.
