Respect your elders: In “How to Live,” author Henry Alford makes an admirable attempt to share senior citizens’ wisdom on living well but falls short, one reviewer writes. Here, however, are a few life tips we’ve gleaned from today’s news:
Explore the universe. Today’s Starwatch offers advice to help telescope newbies find some of the night sky’s breathtaking sights. Of course, it may be a while (i.e., June) before you have a clear night sky to explore, so until then you may have to settle for the breathtaking sight of faraway streetlights.
Don’t go into debt in Lithuania, where a collection agency has hired a woman who claims to be the nation’s leading witch to help track down people who aren’t paying up. Even people who don’t take the occult seriously should be nervous — she could knock someone out with her broom.
Surround yourself with things you love, like a Wenatchee couple whose basement is filled with classic cars. Their basement also boasts a home theater where they can be close to their prized possessions as they take in some flicks. We’re guessing their favorite movie is “Cars.”
