Half an hour until tipoff

Washington and UCLA will battle for first place in the Pac-10 in about half an hour, and this should be the best game-day environment of the season here (though Thursday’s crowd against USC was pretty darn good).
A good sign of how big games are here is the line of students waiting to get in and how long they’re waiting. The earliest members of the Dawg Pack showed up at 3 p.m. yesterday, and I was told about 30 students camped out over night to be at the front of the line. By 11:15 this morning the line stretched past the Graves Building, another indication of a big game.
Best sign of the day so far says “Momma Holiday loves Justin more.” That, of course, is a reference to brothers Justin and Jrue Holiday facing off today, which I wrote about in today’s paper. And Momma Holiday (her name is Toya, by the way), who was at practice yesterday, had a lot to say about watching her sons play each other, which you can read in the story linked above.
