50 YEARS AGO (1959)
The Marysville High School delegation of the All-Coast Press Club included Carolyn Greeley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Larson; Bunnie Rorick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rorick; Rich Way, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Way, and Hank Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Del Brown. Their advisor was Esther Aken.
Exploring the wonderful world of books at Roosevelt School in south Everett were first-graders Lucille Dulin, Kim Stevens, Shirley Walsworth and Cameron Griffith. Sixth-grade librarians were Karen Joyce and Judy Hagenau. The display contained 600 children’s books and would be open this week.
25 YEARS AGO (1984)
The Port Gardner Bay Chamber Music Society was to stage a concert at Immaculate Conception Church in Arlington. Performers included Renee Crutcher, Laris Calleja and Loreen Petty, violin; Warren Fox, viola; Laurie Swanson, oboe, and Mary Swanson and Nancy Cobbs, piano. Gene Nastri was the music director.
Western Washington University Alumni Association was having a reception at Everett Yacht Club with university president G. Robert Ross on hand to talk about the Bellingham school.
