The ice age is coming: Apple’s iTunes store launched its three tiers of prices Tuesday, switching from a flat 99 cents for all songs to 69 cents, 99 cents and $1.29, depending on the song.

The Buzz is a little ambivalent. While we’re not against saving some money, we’re not sure how we feel about The Clash’s “London Calling” being offered for 69 cents, when iTunes has valued Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” at $1.29.

The (in)Complete Beatles: Digitally remastered recordings of the Beatles’ entire catalog will be released this year … on freakin’ CDs.

The Beatles’ label says negotiations for digital distribution continue, but yep, still no Fab Four in the iTunes store. This has got to be Yoko’s fault.

That’s quite a claim: There is a dish called Better Than S-E-X Salad that contains a tub of frozen whipped topping, canned cherry pie filling and canned fruit cocktail (Page E1).

Definitely more information than we expected in a cooking column.
