MUKILTEO — A pitching duel ensued between Jackson and Kamiak on Tuesday from the third inning on. The problem for Jackson was the five runs Kamiak put up in the first two innings, which proved to be all the scoring in Kamiak’s 5-0 Wesco South baseball victory.

Jake Sorter singled in two runs in the first inning and Andrew Lauletta singled in one. Chris Guinn had a two-run home run in the second inning for Kamiak.

Andrew Groves pitched a complete game for Kamiak, giving up just six hits and staying unbeaten on the season.

Mason Haugen, who entered the game for Jackson in the third inning, pitched four scoreless innings.

Shorewood 4, Shorecrest 2: At Shoreline, Shorewood’s Blake Snell pitched the final five innings to record his first win of the season, striking out seven batters to lead Shorewood to the Wesco South victory. Trevor Mitsui batted 1-for-3 with two RBI to lead Shorewood and James Robbins led Shorecrest with two RBI.

Everett intentionally walked the bases loaded and Arlington was able to score on a wild pitch for the Wesco North victory. Dustin Ward (3-for-4, RBI) and Curtis Johnson (2-for-2, four runs) led Arlington and Jake Fraunholtz (2-for-4, two RBI) led Everett.
