See Ciscoe: The Arlington Education Foundation and Arlington Hardware have teamed up for “A Night Out With Ciscoe,” a fundraising garden party from 6 to 9 p.m. May 14 at Arlington Hardware.

Gardening expert and local radio-TV celebrity Ciscoe Morris will talk about his travels and most memorable gardening experiences from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets, which include appetizers and beverages, will be available for $25 at Arlington Hardware, Arlington Pharmacy and Flowers by George of Arlington.

Other parts of the event are free and open to all, including consultations with master gardeners, presentations by foundation grant winners and an elementary choir performance at 6:45 p.m.

Bees, please: Cedar Glen Bees of Stanwood will sell local honey and demonstrate beekeeping and hive maintenance. Garden Treasures Nursery &Organic Farm of Arlington will sell baskets and plants.

Tuber talk: The Snohomish County Dahlia Society will host dahlia tuber sales from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday while supplies last at Stocker Farms, 10622 Airport Way, Snohomish.

Save the dates: Sorticulture, Everett’s annual garden arts festival, unites art and gardening in a celebration of creative outdoor living, now in its 12th year.

This year, the free event will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 12, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 13 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 14 at Legion Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett.

Featured artists will offer handcrafted glass items, water features, hand-cut metal art, lanterns, whimsical birdhouses, ceramics, birdbaths and more. Plant growers will also sell a variety of rare plants.

Learn tips and tricks at seminars with Northwest gardeners Ciscoe Morris, Marianne Binetti, Willi Galloway, Lucy Hardiman, Mary Robson, Marty Wingate and others.

Sorticulture also features dramatic display gardens and activities for kids as well as a wine garden, live music and food.
